Abstract :
A design of variable-power variable-rate adaptive modulation using imperfect channel state information (CSI) in multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) systems is proposed. Analysis and simulation results show that this design provides a good trade-off between the spectral efficiency and bit error rate performance in an adaptive way. Hence, it makes the adaptive modulation MIMO system much more robust to CSI imperfections than a system designed under a perfect CSI assumption.
