Abstract :
Part 1 of this article, published in the January/February 2008 issue of IEEE Power & Energy Magazine, summarized early hydroelectric developments at Niagara Falls and the establishment of 25-Hz power in most of western New York State. Here we continue this story through the second half of the 20th century and up to the eventual demise of 25-Hz power on 12 October 2006.
