Abstract :
We propose and demonstrate a novel temporal simplified optical correlator. All-optical packet-header recognition of 4-bit patterns at 100 Gb/s is accomplished, and modeling of the system indicates that scaling to 8-bit patterns at 1 Tb/s can be readily achieved.
