Abstract :
Generalized boundary conditions of coupling on a semitransparent surface are valid only if the Lorentz reciprocity theorem and the electromagnetic power conservation principle are satisfied on the surface with these boundary conditions. These criteria are reformulated as relations between the tensors in the boundary conditions. Some known boundary conditions of coupling are considered
