Abstract :
This correspondence examines a symmetry relationship for fixed-point cascade digital filters having no error sources in the numerator and scaled with L2norm factors which are placed between the filter´s subsections. It is shown that the noise gain of any ordering is the same as its inverse. It is also shown that the symmetry property holds for filters implemented in 1D and 2D form.
