Abstract :
Testing equipment for gang capacitors for factory inspection must be simple, accurate, and reliable in operation. The test described uses two oscillating circuits, one of which is tuned by each unit of the capacitor gang in succession. The arrangement is such that the first unit acts as a standard for the other units. The zero beat method of measurement is used. The other oscillator is tuned separately and acts as a reference. The complete procedure of operation is described.
