Abstract :
This paper presents two new algorithms for tracking spectral lines of signals with time-varying spectra using a sequence of autoregressive spectral estimates. The algorithms are designed to discard false peaks due to noise and signal interference, and with the aid of high resolution autoregressive spectral estimates have the ability to track multiple lines. Simulation results indicate that line tracking using autoregressive spectral estimates can be accomplished for rapidly time-varying spectra with low signal-to-noise ratios (SNR) or closely spaced spectral lines.
