Abstract :
This article explores tests available for various induction motors and analyzes the stress on the motor and value of information derived. When considering motor testing, we need to discuss both in-process testing and testing of the final product. The in-process testing focuses on stator and rotor assembly, although the integrity of other motor components can also be examined. The benefit of having information obtained from rigorous tests must be compared against the additional testing cost.
