Distribution line protection practices-industry survey results

Results of an industry survey on current practices for the overcurrent protection of distribution lines are reported. This survey was condensed into a questionnaire with eight sections, covering general information about the following: system data; phase protection; ground protection; reclosing at the substation; system faults; cold load pickup; magnetic inrush; and system operations. The information has been compiled by the working group and is given along with appropriate comments and observations
