Describes a programme for technology transfer into four small companies. A Teaching Company Scheme, MIDAS, forms the vehicle to enable Associates to transfer or implement computer technology in manufacture in the companies. The companies associated with MIDAS (Manufacturing Industries Development Association in Surrey) are Vestec Ltd., Anthony H. Croucher Ltd., S.H. Muffett Ltd., and Pathtrace Ltd
