Abstract :
Constraints on two-dimensional half-plane digital transfer functions are developed so that the magnitude responses of these functions possess a specified symmetry (quadrantal symmetry, symmetry about the diagonals, or octagonal symmetry). The application of these constraints in the design of half-plane filters is indicated.
