Abstract :
The authors propose an add/drop operation scheme for >100 Gbit/s optical time division multiplexed signals based on optical wavelength conversion through four-wave mixing. The configuration consists of a prescaled timing extraction circuit, and an optical demultiplexer and multiplexer, all of which are based on four-wave mixing.
