Abstract :
A fibre ring resonator composed of two portions of twisted singlemode fibre is proposed. Each portion is twisted in the opposite direction with an appropriate length difference. This resonator realises the stable circular eigenstate of polarisations, which makes it possible to excite only one eigenstate selectively and stably. Experimental demonstration is successfully carried out
