Abstract :
A nodal based basis function is proposed for the full wave analysis of arbitrarily shaped microstrip antennas. The entire region is divided into subregions sharing common nodes, and the current at each node is decomposed into two orthogonal components. The patch currents are expanded in terms of these node currents
