Abstract :
The temperature dependence from 28 to 290°C of the excited-state absorption cross section in the gain wavelength region of alexandrite has been determined from the temperature dependence of the single pass gain (SPG) and of the fluorescence. and the emission cross section increase with temperature at approximately the same rate.
