Abstract :
A method of measuring the resonant impedance and radio-frequency resistance of an oscillatory circuit, using a screen-grid tube, is described. It is based upon the principle of the dynatron oscillator and it requires neither radio-frequency measuring instruments and standards, nor sources of radio-frequency currents. The results obtained by this method at frequencies from 600 to 1250 kc per sec. agreed within 2.5 per cent with those obtained by the usual resistance variation method.
