Abstract :
Berouti et al. [2]-[4] and Wong et al. [5] have reported procedures for the "closed phase" identification of the all-pole model of the vocal tract. These procedures are shown to be equivalent in a certain case. We argue for the superior performance of Wong\´s method when modeling errors exist. Finally, a modification to Berouti\´s method is suggested.
