Abstract :
There is a growing awareness that implementation is a core competence of companies capable of sustained success. Effective implementation is about achieving significant movement towards targeted outcomes for manufacturing strategy. The aim of a manufacturing strategy is to advance organizational competitiveness through improving cost, quality, flexibility or delivery. We refer to these dimensions as the "4 horsemen" or simply "4H". In this paper, the authors discuss the eight principles useful for improving the track record in the implementation of manufacturing strategy.
