Abstract
A fault-tolerant multiplexing network architecture is described. Comparison of reliabilities and costs are made between systems without fault tolerance, systems with fault tolerance using triple modular redundancy, and systems with fault tolerance with an adaptive architecture. The relationships of these reliability and cost indexes to the system size or the number of nodes are also indicated
