Abstract
Fiber-optic Fabry-Pérot resonators with dielectric end face mirrors have been fabricated and investigated theoretically and experimentally. A finesse up to 35 has been achieved which allows their use as a temperature-tuned optical spectrum analyzer with a resolution of 94 MHz at the wavelength
nm (
Hz). Potential applications of the fiber-optic Fabry-Pérot resonator as a sensor for various physical parameters is briefly discussed.
