Verification of quantization error formulas for ROM/ACC filters: Comment on "Low-noise realizations for narrow-band recursive digital filters"

Two formulas have been recently derived for predicting the mean-squared roundoff noise at the output of a multiplierless Peled-Liu type digital filter. The validity of these formulas may be questioned, since the associated derivation requires several assumptions and approximations. We present simulation results which show that the formulas are accurate and that the simpler formula is adequate.
