Abstract
Grid circuit power rectification is investigated by studying the ideal rectifier and applying the results obtained to the case of a tube rectifier. Characteristic curves are used in this study to obtain the optimum conditions f6r rectification and the order of the output voltage obtainable. Conditions for minimum loading of the circuit preceding the detector are discussed. Audio-frequency discriminations is also studied as a function of grid circuit impedances and experimentally determined curves showing the magnitude of the frequency distortion are also given.
