Abstract :
A basic property of one-dimensional (1-D) minimum-phase filters is the minimum energy-delay property that of all causal filters having the same magnitude frequency response, the unit-sample response of the minimum-phase filter has its energy concentrated closest to the origin. This note develops a generalization of this property for two-dimensional (2-D) minimum-phase filters.
