Abstract :
Unsaturated time-resolved end-on images of argon arc plasma at 1 atm were captured by an intensified charge-coupled device equipped with a narrowband interference filter to evidence the homogeneity of the arc plasma dispersed by increasing the axial magnetic field. A relatively uniform diffuse current sheet was identified established between the concentric electrodes of our specified experimental geometry.
