Abstract
Advanced streak camera technology and related instrumentation are reviewed. Streak cameras Combined with a direct video readout provide real-time and two-dimensional analysis to measure picosecond luminous phenomena with a detection sensitivity of a few photoelectrons. Streak cameras can be used to analyze luminous processes in the biological and medical fields.
