Abstract :
A new distortion measure is proposed for the quantisation of an LPC model. It has a time-domain interpretation, entirely different from that of conventional distortion measures, such as spectral distortion and likelihood ratio. Experimental results indicate that five bits/frame may be gained, without loss of quality
