Abstract :
The authors have extended Hafner and Bomholt´s numerical electromagnetic scattering program 3D MMP [1993] with a fifth order Gaussian beam approximation using Barton and Alexander´s equations from [1989]. Numerical computation results for one spherical particle located on-axis in a highly focussed Gaussian beam (s=0.1) serve as an example for high accuracy scattering simulations in the visual spectral range at low size parameters (α=20)
