  • Abstract
    Coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) has been used to study the temperature behavior of SF6gas. In the temperature range 200-1000 K, evaluation of CARS bandwidths and lineshifts resuited in a relatively precise temperature determination. The advantages of a CARS-based SF6thermometer are discussed in detail.
