Abstract :
We have investigated normal resistivity, critical current and flux creep properties of high Jc Bi2223 and YBCO superconducting bulks. Based on their experimental results, applicability of the bulk to the superconducting fault current limiting device is discussed. As a result, it was found that Bi2223 bulk has a high resistivity and YBCO has high critical current density. Flux creep characteristics for the Bi2223 suggest that practical stable operation can be achieved to decrease the transport current to 70% of the critical current
