The recipient of the 2006 AP-S Best Chapter Award is the Tainan Chapter, Taiwan. Please congratulate Prof. Wen-Shyang Chen, past Chair of the Tainan Chapter, and his fellow officers for a job well done, and for the services that they provided during the 2006 year to their members and to ALP-S. As a token of appreciation, the Tainan Chapter will receive a plaque and a US$1,000 prize that can be used for future Chapter activities. Prof. Hong-Twu Chen will receive this award on behalf of Prof. Wen-Shyang Chen. Another important activity involving the Chapter Chairs is the Chapter Chair Luncheon. This luncheon is offered by ALP-S as a small token of appreciation to the Chairs who serve their Chapters diligently and faithfully. If all things go smoothly, it usually takes about six weeks from the time the funds are approved to the time they are received. Various recent chapter meetings are also reported.
