Abstract :
A new method of recovering the group delay of a fibre Bragg grating (FBG) by iterative processing of the amplitude of the measured transmission spectrum is described. This method is extremely simple, fast and accurate, and works well for any type of FBG, even when the measured spectra are fairly noisy.
