Abstract :
Mechanical strength is increased in piezoceramics, in some cases, by introducing small additives of special glasses into the composition. The analysis of this phenomenon can be carried out only by separate consideration of mechanical properties of the single phases and the extent to which they influence the strength of piezoceramics as a whole. The leading role of the intercrystal interlayer strength and the contact crystallite-interlayer has been determined by measuring the piezoceramics strength dependence on the cation compound of glass-modifiers.<>
