  • Abstract
    This paper describes the multiwavelength reconfigurable all-optical network testbed designed and constructed as a part of the optical networks technology consortium (ONTC) phase I program with a group of working members consisting of Bellcore, Columbia University, Hughes Research Laboratories, Northern Telecom, Rockwell Science Center, Case Western Reserve University, United Technology Research Center, Uniphase Telecommunications Product, and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. The architecture of the testbed and its nodes is presented together with a description of the key component technologies. Network control and management is discussed along with applications and services
