Abstract :
In this letter, a wireless sensor network system powered by microwave power transmission (MPT) technology within a prototype reusable spacecraft is proposed and evaluated. The evaluation was based on a 5.8 GHz, 50 W class MPT integrated with a 2.4 GHz band wireless communication system. Experiments to evaluate energy balance under 25 cm line-of-sight conditions and to test multi-sensor operation under non line-of-sight conditions within the prototype spacecraft, called a reusable vehicle test (RVT).
