The graduate school Karlsruhe School of Optics & Photonics (KSOP) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the cooperation between Universitat Karlsruhe (TH) and Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe (FZK), was established within the German Excellence Initiative in November 2006 and offers an innovative master and doctoral program.
