Abstract :
Linear dynamic range depends on both the nonlinearities of electrooptic modulators and the system details. Nonlinearities of electrooptical modulators should be specified by a Taylor series representation of their output versus input characteristic, not by their linear dynamic range. Several examples of the linear dynamic range in different types of systems are given.
