Abstract :
A novel optical loop configuration based on quasi-phase-matched LiNbO3 waveguides for wavelength conversion and multi-carrier generation on an optical frequency grid is proposed. It has fast wavelength switching time and supports the conversion of multichannel signals. The basic principle is successfully demonstrated with total bandwidth of 20 nm in longer and shorter wavelength sides.
