Abstract :
A new method to measure the induction machine equivalent circuit parameters is proposed. The method is based on three frequency-domain tests, performed at standstill, avoiding then the locked-rotor and no-load tests. The proposed algorithm can be implemented in standard motor drives in order to automatically perform self-commissioning. Furthermore, the proposed method allows a direct measurement of the iron saturation. Experimental results are presented to validate the measurement method and the machine equivalent circuit.
