Abstract :
A novel nonlinear first order derivative estimator is proposed. The estimator exhibits finite time convergence and can be used as a direct differentiator of smooth and bounded input signals. It is also shown that high order derivative signals can be obtained by concatenating a set of the proposed first order derivative estimators
