Abstract :
Multiple-quantum acoustoelectric phase conjugation is described and demonstrated. Two electric field pumps at different frequencies and a forward microwave ultrasonic wave at a third frequency were used to generate the phase-conjugate backward wave. Interactions involving as many as 16 pump quanta are reported.
