Abstract
This correspondence presents an order-recursive algorithm for the computation of the model parameters required in multipulse linear predictive coding (LPC) or speech in the case of autocorrelation method. Its computational complexity is 2p2+ 4p multiplications and divisions, where p + 1 is the number of the model parameters. It is also shown that the developed algorithm leads, in a natural way, to lattice-ladder structures for multipulse linear predictive coding of speech.
