Abstract
We present a review of medical technology management problems in developing countries, based on our experience and on literature review. Also, recommended approaches for the need for thorough research that covers technical, medical, executive, as well as manufacturer´s authorities in the field are included to develop a consolidated model that can be used as a guideline for developing countries. Topics covered include: problems for technical service support; technology planning process; technology acquisition process; education and training process; equipment service contract management; transferring health care technology support; and 21st century challenges and solutions
