Abstract :
The paper presents a method of determination of the capacitance per unit length of a transmission line consisting of a semiinfinite horizontal conducting plane separated from another symmetrically located perpendicular conductor by a gap. The analysis is based on the conformal transformation and the Green´s function formulation. The results of the analysis can be used for the evaluation of the end capacitance of a TEM cell terminated in a short-circuiting plane. Numerical data on the capacitance are presented.
