Change in editorial board

This is to announce the resignation of Founding Editor George E. Smith as Editor of IEEE Electron Device Letters and his retirement from AT&T Bell Laboratories. He is happy to announce, however, that Simon M. Sze has consented to take over as Editor. Dr. Sze has been an Associate Editor in the past and has taken over as Editor many times when Mr. Smith has been absent. Mr Smith feels certain that the quality of this publication can only increase as a result; He is also happy to announce the appointment of Steven J. Hillenius as a new Associate Editor. Dr. Hillenius has a strong background in devices and device processing which greatly adds to the strength of the editorial staff.
