Abstract :
Measurements of noise power spectral density were recorded with a vertical monopole at 47 MHZ, about 0.5 km from Interstate Highway I-95 (Massachusetts Route 128), in Waltham, Massachusetts, which was carrying traffic approaching 10 000 vehicles per hour. Average noise power values were found to be in excellent agreement with predictions based on vehicle density reported by Spaulding in 1972.
