Abstract :
New expressions are derived for the probabilities of overestimating and underestimating the number of sources by a narrow-band sensor array based on criteria such as AIC and MDL. These results correct the false alarm probability and extend the range of validity of the miss probability for two sources that were presented in [1]. The theoretical results are compared to numerical simulations.
