Abstract :
The author discusses the linking of the Isles of Scilly to the diesel generating station on St. Mary´s island. The off-islands are linked by 11 kV submarine cables. The author discusses the process of laying the cables both underwater and underground. The author then goes on to discuss the connection of the Scillies to the mainland via a 33 kV underwater link
