Abstract :
In this letter, we propose three strategies for the improvement of multicast performance that can increase cell throughput of unidirectional multicast service by utilizing the concept of autonomous handover to improve the performance of cell-boundary users. We show that these proposed schemes can improve cell throughput by about 10%-25%, over the conventional scheme not utilizing autonomous handover.
