Abstract :
In many applications of computer vision, a frame sequence may be acquired using a moving camera. We propose ego-motion polar transformation for segmentation of such sequences. It is shown that segmentation and extraction of motion information become easier in the transformed domain. Our experience with a translating camera indicates that this technique can play a very important role in the analysis of moving observer dynamic scenes.
