Abstract :
Core and clad compositions to realize crystallization-free fluoride fibers are proposed. From the scattering measurements of reheated glasses, it is shown that the projected scattering loss of the fluoride glass fiber with the selected core-clad composition is expected to be 0.0045 dB/km at 4 μm.
